Lobster season

If you came to Maine for the lobster, your timing is impeccable.

It won’t take much to convince you that the 66th Annual Maine Lobster Festival, taking place July 31st-August 4th, is a celebration of all things lobster related. This year’s festival includes nine tents, a giant lobster cooker, parades, musicians, an international crate race, art shows, tours of the U.S. Coast Guard Station, all you can eat pancakes, free shuttle service, professional and amateur cooking contests, road races, kids events and over 20,000 pounds of lobster. Should we go on…?

The Maine Lobster Festival takes place through the hard work of over 1,000 volunteers and a small group of people who bring them all together. The festival will donate all income received from the children’s gate admission to the Rockland Recreation Building Fund for renovations this year. All surplus generated from the festival is donated to the greater Rockland community for beneficial projects and activities.
