Lobster Chef of the Year Competition
Two of our very own will be represented in this year’s Maine Lobster Chef of the Year competition at the 2013 Harvest on the Harbor.
Each year in the competition, put on by the Maine Lobster Promotion Council, several Maine chefs compete for the title with their unique lobster dishes as part of Harvest on the Harbor.
This year, Executive Chef Jon Gaboric and Chef Chris Long have come up with dishes to outdo each other and astound audiences. Chef Gaboric will prepare butter poached lobster with a corn and miso puree, shaved radish salad, geoduck dressing, crispy quinoa, and yuzu foam. Chef Long has crafted a butter poached Maine lobster dish with grilled lobster mushrooms, corn and artichoke ragout, and tarragon butter.
This is the first time two chefs from the same restaurant have competed against each other, and we’re excited to see what the judges think about their different approaches. The competition is sold out but lobster is always on the menu at Natalie’s.
